Welcome to Nebraska Diving Club

Our Mission is to provide quality instruction for young athletes to learn to dive to the best of their ability through the use of strength and conditioning activities and training on diving boards and platforms.

Our program is designed to teach the art of diving, while incorporating time management, self-discipline and team building skills in the safest possible environment.

On this site you will find general information about diving as well as specific information about Nebraska Diving Club. We hope that your experience with Nebraska Diving Club will be rewarding for both you and your child.

Diving Levels
The Nebraska Diving Club program consists of four levels:
Learn-To-Dive (Lessons Program)
The Learn-to-Dive program is structured to teach basic, beginning diving and physical skills.
Junior Elite (Pre-Team)
Junior Elite divers are those who have demonstrated satisfactory achievement of physical skills and proper training attitude at the Learn-to-Dive level. Junior Elite divers are eligible to compete at the Novice or Junior Olympic level, as determined by the coaching staff.
Recreational (High School)
The Recreational program is for high school age divers who opt to train with those on the Elite level, but choose not to participate in our year-round training and competition program.
Elite (Team)
Elite divers commit to year-round training and competition in invitational, regional, national and international meets.

The coaching staff will communicate with parents regarding the level at which the athletet will train, based upon the child's skill levels, training attitude and desire to commit to the sport. The Training schedule, monthly fee schedule and Annual Registration fee vary for each level. Details can be found on the Programs and Fees page.

We believe that being a member of the Nebraska Diving Club Junior Elite or Elite program is a privilege and an honor that the athlete has earned. With that privilege and honor comes a level of commitment and responsibility.

Training Sessions

Our program is available on a year-round basis, and divers are welcome to sign up for additional lessons at any time throughout the year. The schedule that is provided is subject to change depending on the season or the number of athletes at each level. Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

All club members must come to train on days and times as agreed to between the coaches and the parents. Periodic changes to the agreed schedule may be pre-arranged with the coaching staff. Extra workout schedules or private lessons can be arranged with the approval of the coaches.

Athletes are expected to be on time for their training sessions so that the group can work together. Those who arrive late delay the rest of the group and do not receive the benefit of the entire training session.

Athletes should bring the following to each training session:

  • A positive attitude.
  • shorts and t-shirt
  • tennis shoes
  • socks
  • swimsuit & towel

When the head coach is traveling for team competitions, we will provide a qualified substitute coach or coaches to assure continuous training sessions for your diver. There may be occasions when changes in pre-determined training schedules are necessary. On those occasions, we will communicate those changes in advance.
